NOLLYWOOD FASHFIED: King of Boys (The King's looks)
KING OF BOYS
When Kemi Adetiba graced our screens with the first part of the King of Boys, we all fell in love instantly. In fact, the publicity of the movie alone drove chills down our spines.
Imagine what the news of part 2 did to us all! Today, we want to look at the fashion of the beautiful and interesting character of Sola Sobowale who played Eniola Salami aka King of Boys aka OBA!
I want to share my thoughts about 5 of her looks that not only stood out but articulated who exactly Eniola Salami is. Ready???
LOOK 1
Look 1 shows us an upper-class elite who loves and buys the finest things of life. The details on the jacket highlights all added the extra glamor and statment to the complete look. The little embroided collar and the chain in front of the jacket all projected a bold and adventurous statement!
The fashion powerhouse; Tiannah's Place Empire created the look! Woosh!
LOOK 2
Look 2 reinforces the "notice-me" personality of Eniola Salami in a very classy way. She was a character who wanted to get what she wants no matter what.
Especially with her ambitions in KOB2, she needed to dress in a way that she can easily be spotted.
Abaya Lagos, the designer of the outfit definitely understood the assignment!

LOOK 3
This Abaya Lagos look is an 'I mean business' kind of look and what perfect scene to show up in it than in the negotiation scene with Jumoke Randle! She was fire and you could feel the fear that she infused in Jumoke Randle through the screen after the meeting.
The fabric was not only beautiful but the accessorizing was nicely put together too. Surly, Kemi Adetiba, the producer and director of this movie didn't come to play!
LOOK 4
The chilled, Relaxed, "big mummy" vibe was the highlight of this look. The headwrap definitely added to this vibe significantly.
The details around the neckline, the exaggerated sleeves, The high-low top, and the wide-leg pants were all strategically put to portray Eniola Salami as a powerful figure who is trying to be subtle at the same time.

The Killer Look 5
When we talk power, when we talk control, when we talk "who's in charge"... These and more were emphasized by this outfit. This outfit by Tiannah's Place Empire was everything. The details, the look of the fabric, you literarily can feel the fabric through the screen.
The brand Tiannah's Place Empire has always been side by side with excellence and they killed this look!

Abaya Lagos and Tiannah's Place Empire were definitely great choices of designers because they understood the assignment and brought in their A-game. As I said, the outfits of any character in a movie are one of the key elements of telling the audience who the character really is. Eniola Salami was beautifully highlighted in all her costumes by These Nigerian 2 designers.
